Yeah, it seems like it’s a very regional thing other than a few people like me that happen to latch on to something different!

That’s what most Americans think about cricket! The glazed look most people get when I try to explain it is hilarious. To be honest, some of it was a bit confusing to me switching from baseball too.

It’s always nice when your spouse enjoys it too! My spouse and I have watched a good bit of the shows together.

It’s a pretty fun show! There’s often humor that doesn’t work for me, but overall I like it quite a bit.

I’ve been rewatching SNW with the new season coming up soon, I went from 1x01 to 1x05 last week.

I’ve kind of stalled out on the Voyager rewatch at the moment. My spouse and I like to watch things together, and she wasn’t enjoying Voyager near as much as the earlier shows. So we’ve been giving it a break and watching other things!

Seven is an interesting character! I feel like they overused her a little to the detriment of the rest of the cast other than Janeway and the Doctor, but there were definitely some good stories.

I’m in the middle of Voyager too, and I’ve had similar thoughts before! The storytelling, while pretty good, is just not to the same level.

I always enjoyed the Worf and baby interactions on that one too!

Is this image bug potentially causing my inability to upload pictures recently? I can’t give you an exact date that it started, but I know it’s been all this week. I get a request timeout when attaching a picture to a post, and an unhandled redirect when attaching to a comment. I tried on Jerboa and the web version.

That… would have been… a great… loss… for all of us. ;)

I do think Shatner did very good in the role, and although I’ve noticed the more deliberate way he delivered his lines, it never bothered me.

Hopefully they get a movie at some point!

Nice! I’ve wondered how the show would have turned out with Hunter as the lead. There obviously wouldn’t have been movies afterward due to his death, so maybe TNG and the rest of the shows would have never happened. Or maybe he would have been busy with Star Trek and wouldn’t have had time for the movie where the accident happened. Too many what ifs!

In the last two weeks I watched from Voyager 3x15 to 3x25. Getting ready to watch Scorpion!

Sounds good! I don’t have a lot of experience with plain QEMU, so when you mentioned needing a second mouse I thought maybe it was a bit more complicated to do the passthrough.

The VM is what I’m doing, it works well for the rare times I need to adjust something. Piper works good for everything else. I just use Gnome Boxes for my VM though. It’s pretty easy to pass USB input into it temporarily.

I don’t remember having a lot of expectations of Discovery, but I was looking forward to having more Star Trek! Unfortunately it was so far different from what I enjoy that I’ve never gotten farther than season 2 or 3.

That’s always been my opinion of them as well. There are some interesting sections, but they’re just not quite what I’m looking for usually.

I’m still working through Voyager, I went from 2x23 to 3x14 this week. I’m looking forward to Strange New Worlds coming out eventually!
