The issue at hand:
USAmericans regularly claim that there’s huge diversity of culture between states and that travel throughout the country is a cavalcade of cultural enrichment.
As Europeans, that clearly is an annoying and horrifying narrowness of perspective. In the spirit of cooperation and friendship we should provide USAmericans with educational materials to show that there is more to the world than deep dish vs thin crust pizza, sweet tea vs lemonade, Dr Pepper vs Coca Cola.
To be sensitive to the current state of the US educational system and sentiment, we should package this in a suitably diverting edutainment format adapted to an appropriate level.
Proposal:
Force said annoying USAmericans to listen to the entirety of the Eurovision contestants.
Final arguments:
Cultural enrichment of USAmericans offers both stimulating novelty, a more well rounded perspective, escapism through media consumption, and of course a more cultured lifestyle. Beyond that, the increased cultural sensitivity ensures smoother relations both between our continents, but also as a useful life skill for intrapersonal interaction.
I believe it’s self evident that both Eurovison haters and lovers will unite behind this, albeit for different reasons.
