Trump revived a failed effort from his first term on an issue he’s talked up since even before taking office.

Donald Trump says he’ll sign an executive order on Monday that, if implemented, could bring down the costs of some medications — reviving a failed effort from his first term on an issue he’s talked up since even before becoming president.

Under the planned order, the federal government would tie what it pays pharmaceutical companies for those drugs to the price paid by a group of other, economically advanced countries — the so-called “most favored nation” approach.

It was a rule that Trump tried to adopt during his first term, but could never get through. He signed a similar executive order in the final weeks of his presidency, but a court order later blocked the rule from going into effect under the Biden administration.

There’s no chance in hell this is gonna fucking happen. He said gas is $2 a gallon and eggs are now cheaper than under Biden.

The cult has been taught to reject reality, and will blindly believe whatever the fascist leadership decrees.

Stop acting like there’s gonna be some gotcha or bottom. There is no logic. Tens of millions of people are as mentally ill as any nazi, and will die before they lose the religion and accept they’ve been conned.

The problem is that he doesn’t have the authority to do this via executive order. So if he does create this illegal order, it will almost surely be struck down by the courts, just like the previous one was.

But in doing so, he can claim credit for trying, despite never doing anything.

And the sad irony is that if he actually asked the Dems to help him get this through Congress, they’d probably agree. But he’s such an unbelievably terrible deal maker that he can’t actually do that.

Or anything else, really. Show me where executive orders are mentioned in the Constitution. They were being used by previous presidents as guidance on how to comply with legislation. Trump is using them as decrees.

Proposing a shit solution to a well-known problem is not a “great point.” It’s just more bullshit.
