Well, that’s a rational behavior. Tobacco is significantly more unhealthy and addictive. It’s also much more harmful for passive smokers

It’s a bad idea in the US as well. It will be on your medical record and if you ever need prescription opiates or benzos in the future you will get them refused for potential “drug seeking behavior”
You should only disclose drug use to your doctor when it’s necessary, like if you are going under anesthesia. And if it’s not an emergency procedure you should just stay sober long enough beforehand that you won’t need to disclose it

4·4 days agoThe grocery store is up to $8.99 a pound for hamburger meat
And given that Bigmac patties have been reduced to 45 grams that single pound of meat is enough for 10

1·4 days agoIf beef prices weren’t so messed up right now I’d say it’d be cheaper just to make it at home.
It IS cheaper to make at home, and always has been. Even during the time McDonald’s was still affordable it was still more expensive than cooking it yourself

Yep, in Germany every train station for example is considered a high danger area where police are allowed to search you without a reason

5·10 days agoGreat for you, but most good private trackers will ban you if you aren’t connectable. If you’re only torrenting English stuff then public trackers are fine, or one’s with lax rules like IPT, but for many other languages private trackers are unavoidable.
It’s also just against the spirit of the P2P network to not accept connections from others, if your port isn’t forwarded then you can only seed to users who have their port forwarded

11·11 days agoAlso, 12 minutes drive is a biking distance
My 15 minute car commute would take over an hour with a bicycle, lead me over multiple busy and dangerous country roads, has three mountains with over 20% elevation that I have to pass, and would be incredibly unsafe in the winter even with studded tires.
Don’t get me wrong, I actually do take my bicycle when I’m not in a hurry and the weather is right. But it’s a huge time sink and doesn’t absolve my of my dependency on a car.
The same commute takes 2 hours with public transport btw so that’s even worse
And this is in Germany, not north America
