2·1 month agoWithout directly revealing Biboo’s past-life account (because I don’t know if that’s allowed here), here are some of my guesses for the new holoEN generation based on proximity to Biboo’s past-life (assuming I’m correct in my speculation that Biboo received news that someone she knows passed the audition):
At one point during Biboo’s Pokemon Legends Z-A stream
towards the end when she is talking with Cece (timestamp pending), she receives a DM that causes her to gasp and get excited. Cece asks what that was about and Biboo says something along the lines of: she received great news that she can’t reveal now. When Cece asks if it’s something that she knows about, Biboo says no. (This is only from my memory, I can’t find the moment right now. It wasn’t clipped, and perhaps it was cut out from the VOD afterwards for secrecy’s sake. Cece joined the stream sometime after 10:30:00)My speculation is that Biboo was informed that someone she knows/recommended was accepted into hololive, likely via a DM from that individual. I don’t know anything about Biboo’s past pre-holo, but I guess that it would be someone she has interacted with before. I don’t know if past-life info is allowed to be discussed here (is it “doxxing”?)

- (8:20:08 - 8:24:00) Raora leaves the stream, Biboo checks her messages, gasps, and gets stunned into silence.
- (10:49:16) The news Biboo received is something that even Cece doesn’t know.
Ferumi Kaipa formerly Zumi Dokumi of EIEN Project (public knowledge) is suspected to be one of the new talents (or was at the very least invited to audition before the public audition announcement).
Via her announcement stream:
- (8:39) She is going on a sudden indefinite hiatus “as Ferumi Kaipa” (despite debuting a new outfit a few weeks ago).
- (10:00) She got a life-changing professional opportunity that she would regret not taking.
- (10:48) Ferumi is not graduating, but on indefinite hiatus, “[She is] waiting for the stars to align again, even if they are in a different sky”, “I’ll be stepping away to focus on what lies ahead”, “Trust me when I say this is not me giving up, or leaving what we made behind.”
- (11:48) “It’s hard to explain right now, but when you see the opportunity ahead of me, […], you’ll understand.”
- (14:30) “This isn’t goodbye, it’s ‘see you later.’” “Nothing will go in vain, even if it looks and sounds different, please remember me.”
- (16:03) “Even though I can’t say a lot right now, I want you to know that this is not the end and I am so fucking excited.” “I just can’t wait for you to see the woman that I thought could not exist, that I will be.” “When […] this opportunity unfolds I know that you will understand.”
- (18:03) Flashes a “Hollow Knight” graphic. “Did you see it?”

I just zoomed in on the controllers trying to see how you could tell they were counterfeit.

To be fair, my grandma would assume/say the same thing about me. That’s because I hold my tongue at family reunions as to not make a scene. I know that if I spoke up, I would be outnumbered at least 10:1 and the ones that would agree also aren’t the type to handle being shouted down. It’s easier just to nod your head, keep quite, and lightly push back on topics that won’t cause a blowback response; which is easier in individual conversations, away from grandma(ga).
This fixed my issue! Now Wayland is working perfectly on my Nvidia card. I don’t know why this isn’t documented in the knowledge base. Thanks!

100% agree on the point that more talents isn’t necessarily better. I would prefer holoEN doesn’t get much larger, but realistically they need to keep scouting talents and taking auditions in order to account for talents that inevitability graduate. I just don’t want anyone to feel like they are being replaced, pushed out, or made irrelevant.
