Appeasement of the establishment is what got Americans to this point. The only way out it to do something that they haven’t done before. From what many Americans post, their lives are already on perma hold.
For many of us an accurate line would be “I don’t buy American products anymore.” Yes we used to spend money on American products and still have them. But many of us are now going without if we can’t find a Canadian version (or any other country) that makes the product we want. After Trump’s repulsive tantrum at Davos, it will be a long time until I willingly spend money that benefits the US.

From a non-American’s viewpoint, most Americans seem very content to only vent online about how they didn’t vote for this but they don’t seem to be holding their congress and senate representatives to task to get Trump out of office, now. There is a possibility of a general strike on Friday - it should be throughout the USA. In every city. Let your reps know that you are not just attending the odd protest but that citizen demand change immediately. They can impeach or Amendment 25 him out right now. No waiting for the slight possibility that there might still be an election in November. Trump isn’t obeying any other laws or the constitution so he can’t be expected to hold and then abide by an election many more months away. Americans do not seem, from the world’s view, to be treating Trump with the urgency that is needed.

I’m guessing that the people who buy actual Champagne in the US don’t notice the price and won’t notice the tariffs. Plus $100, $200, $1000 per bottle - whatever.

So what that Chinese subsidize their EVs. The US subsidizes most of their industry.
It’s really tiring for people to say what about China doing X, which the US already does in spades.
I didn’t say it makes sense. For me, it doesn’t. Just pointing out that that is how the Christian religion believes it to be.

No not even for whites necessarily but for the rich and those who will willingly serve the rich.

25% of Americans are perfectly fine with the US just taking over independent countries. 75% oppose but only if they don’t have to do anything other than answer a poll.

Apparently ICE doesn’t have to look at it.
The entire purpose of Jesus being born and living was to choose to willingly die on the cross so he could take on humanities sins. Without his death, there would be no Christianity.

I will wait for multiple replications in different populations before getting my hopes up.

She’s not playing him. He is playing her. She’s the one begging in this situation, not him.

I doubt any Venezuelans are looking forward to her as their leader. The Norwegian prize committee should rescind the award.

You would think that with all the ‘expert’ tech people out of jobs maybe they could band together and take the billionaires down? It would cause a depression but I think that would be more palatable than the depression that is coming regardless but in which the billionaires will still be billionaires?

State? They would willing be leaving Canada (with a lot less of AB than they think they could take). The US would have all the advantage and it wouldn’t be granting statehood. I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up with less rights than Puerto Rico. They’d have to go that route though since they couldn’t pull off being a separate country.

Going to be? They already are. 100%

As a Canadian I’m not holding out much hope for the US later this year. If Trump doesn’t stop elections, or rig their outcome, I’m not sure Democrats will muster the requisite votes because “both sides”.
Didn’t they say they were aiming for 100M deported?
