I was in a similar boat for the first few years out of college. Like, totally fine score, couldn’t even get a PayPal credit for under $1000 for some reason.

When I met my wife and we secured a credit union mortgage, everyone just started throwing credit at me. My score is sky high, so every account keeps raising my limit, which raises my score, etc. it’s all a bunch of bullshit.

I haven’t seen anyone point out the political symbolism here too. I don’t think it’s a stretch considering Carol’s statements earlier.

Calling the US culture “alien” is an easy cop out way to say it’s not our fault. But the truth is, it’s authentic human shit. It’s uniquely fucked up comparatively but it’s still a result of millennia of human civilization. We’re all partially responsible.

The secret is to just kill or not recruit the annoying characters. I’ve played the entire story a few times and I always forget Karlach is in the game because I kill her every time. Astarion too, can’t stand the rogue stereotype.

That being said I did leave a negative Steam review for BG3 and I get made fun of for liking the game and not recommending it lol

I’m an out of towner, but I feel you. I had a very similar experience with my Spotify “new releases” playlist. One tiny incongruity and after investigating I realized half of the playlist was fake.

And now I have to look at every single new to me band’s profile and history before I can bring myself to listen. I feel like a crazy person.
