1·7 days agoMaybe settings to delete stuff you don’t want, or ban whatever federated stuff, but transferring ownership settings is a bit odd to me. Lemmy is a bit more clear on what you can truly do. You can block communities, delete posts, purge, ban, whatever. It does not allow you to edit communities directly unlike PieFed which is kinda interesting.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What Fediverse instances would you recommend to others?English
4·7 days agohttps://lemmy.world/post/43035743/22099833 Apparently old forum software was updated to use the federation and all the old users got tallied up and added. Also people flocking from Reddit and X too.

6·8 days agoThat’s odd. Also pixelfed lets you ban users who don’t even use your site too, which is even weirder.

91·9 days agoI figured joining the biggest one would be the most exciting and active. I believe federation happens when a user on one instance follows another, so joining a smaller one might mean you miss some content. I could be wrong though.
It’s amazing i love the frontend!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What desktop operating system would you recommend to the average user?English
1·10 days agoWindows sucks more now, but it is still the top dog and I do not expect that to change soon. Linux is something you go out of your way to learn for the sake of absolute control and privacy over your system. Problems are to be expected on Linux, and you gotta be willing to deal with them. For the average person, they will want whatever works, and that will be Mac or Windows.

Prey is a fun game, I recommend you give it a go.
