I don’t know that I’ve ever truly wanted to die, but I have frequently wanted to never have lived. That, to me at least, is the difference. And knowing I can’t accomplish the latter no matter what I do I think has somehow stopped me from pursuing the former.

I was the “gifted but needs to apply himself more” stereotype up until mid-to-late teens when depression and anxiety got the better of me for real. I also always struggled with holding presentations in front of class, and that only got worse over time which did impact some of my grades.

At the end of the day he got more races in F1 than most at his level of talent. It sucks for him but F1 is a ruthless business and there are simply too few seats and too many drivers available. No team will have patience for mediocrity.

Will the Larry games still be up on GOG I wonder? I’ve played the (remake of the) first one and have been curious about Love For Sail as well as it’s apparently the best one (?). For better or worse they are iconic games that are part of the cultural landscape of gaming.

If it’s just in terms of toasting then it should be just on the edge where the texture becomes slightly crunchy, but still retaining moisture inside. The taste should not retain any dougheyness. The surface should have small patches of browning visible but the majority of it still be white.

Let’s be honest, the only reason he might not do a third term is he’s fucking old, and his diet of ketchup steaks and McDonald’s takeaway is going to catch up to him sooner or later.
