…higher-than-expected medical costs…
This probably means medical costs for employee insurance, not that they’ve been actually providing insurance to policyholders.
If you don’t dabble in Switch modding or anything like that, then you have absolutely nothing to worry about…
I shouldn’t be worried that Nintendo can remotely brick my $500 console. For any reason. Or accidentally.
They all did. Don’t look to the Catholic church for morality.
Holy shit. These are REAL WORLD EXAMPLES. goodbye.
You all heard it. This year Hedonism will be held on the front lawn of the Idaho capitol building.
I like it, except drop ALL the black.
First of all, please read my comment again. These aren’t my comments, these are questions from other people. I have a Mastodon account. I’ve had one since Musk bought Twitter, and the one I have now isn’t my original. Because I moved servers and didn’t have a problem doing that.
Second, grow up. You’re ridiculing people who have used Facebook since it opened up to non-students. And some of these are valid concerns. For some people they’re deal-breakers, and they should be addressed of we want the fediverse to grow.
There was a programming language in the old old Apple computers called Logo. It was basically a drawing program language. You had control of a ‘cursor’ called a turtle, and you would give it commands like “forward 5, left 90, forward 5, left 90…” and it would draw shapes. I’m sure there’s a wiki for it is you want more info.
If Kim Dot Com had a grandma.
Why would a judge allow this? It’s like showing the jury a made-for-TV movie based on the trial they’re hearing.
I’ll say it again and again and again:
The fediverse is hamstrung by the need to choose a specific server.
I remember trying to help people join Mastodon when Musk bought Twitter. Every question I heard was about picking a server.
What’s a server?
Why do I have to pick a server?
How do I pick a server?
Then there were the more thoughtful questions.
What happens if the server I chose goes down?
What happens if someone chooses the same user name as mine on a different server?
Mastodon, Lemmy, etc. won’t get mainstream traction until someone solves this simple hurdle.
This reads like an interview with the first CEO on The IT Crowd. “Work Hard” is fine, but what are you working on? Sounds like it doesn’t matter, just as long as you’re "Work Hard"ing.
I have ChatterUI on my phone. Running a model locally is butter smooth, except for the first response after changing models. I haven’t done anything more than brief chats with it, so I don’t know if it’s more useful than that.
The most important question: which child did he try to kill? Was it Isaac, the son he fathered with his barren wife? Or was it Ishmael, the son he fathered with his wife’s handmaiden?
A singularity isn’t required for a black hole, just a large mass compressed smaller than the Shwartzchild radius. It might be that singularities are just mathematical artifacts. The article has examples.
One Luigi won’t cut at this point. That would make things worse.
Soon to be followed by Shawshank and Oz.
The United States ranked 57th, down by two positions, and was second to last among the G7 countries.
Hold my beer…
Yeah, I can’t say for sure. Where I work, the health insurance is ‘self-funded’, so they’re always bitching about medical costs. It just feels like UnitedHealthCare would use different terminology for policy payouts. Like “unforeseen business costs” or some corporate doublespeak like that.
