One of the complaints I hear about PETA is that they put down too many of their rescue animals. But PETA say this is because they take the most sick, debilitated animals that no-one else will take, and there is no option but to put them down.

I don’t have any optimism. The 21st century seems like a replay of the 20th century, first a depression and pandemic, now the rise of fascism and potentially ww3. I have lost hope that humanity will learn from its mistakes and change.
