I think I’ve been “management” in this scenario… Not intentionally, I’ve just been on so many shit ass working groups where our meetings were just political grandstanding that I feel we had to “get work done” in the off hours.

I could try to leave work at work, but I’d be hanging students and fellow instructors out to dry, so that’s not always an option.

I was a gifted kid and I am definitely not a disappointment… Instead, I’ve just gotten a little sadder each time I have been promoted only to realize how low “the bar” actually is.

There has always been shit out there that will fuck up your kids. That’s literally never going to change unless our species goes through some DRASTIC and specific evolutionary pressures. As a parent, it’s your job to protect your kids - not society.

Edit: And if you can’t, for whatever reason, then it’s not society’s fault that you made too many children.

The reason no one in a suit cares is because most of the voting monkeys don’t care because they lack the capacity to understand.

Governments are full of two types: (1) the stupid, and (2) the self-interested. The former doesn’t understand technology, and the latter doesn’t fucking care.
