  • I am so glad to be living in Seattle. I have at least 2 food trucks at breweries a 2 min walk away, sometimes 4 trucks. There’s also a Chinese place we love going to once a month for their to go boxes that’s about 6 mins away. But don’t live downtown or apartments all around (not that it would be bad, just making a point). It’s great to be walkable without all the noise.

Other cities need this but we gotta get rid of suburbia and most lawns really.

  • I dunno… highly depends on the drug. I go to some a music fest in the summer and almost all the people there are the nicest and most caring hippies you’ll meet. Booze is banned, so it’s a different vibe than most music fests, but I think it works out so well.

I feel like in today’s world being caring and nice is close to prophetic because we don’t see enough of it. It really does hit different seeing a ton of strangers look out for each other.

  • Just make a live boot drive and try it out! Maybe get a little partition setup. I’ve been running Kubuntu for 3 weeks just fine! I am tech savvy though, but most of the things I needed to be savvy at were only because my PC is also my media server. It was less than 1.5 hours to set up gaming and all my window management options and whatnot. And now everything just works.

  • Finally swapped to Linux last week and loving it! Kubuntu because I wanted KDE for KZones since I was using FancyZones from PowerToys on Windows. The hardest part was migrating my qBitTorrent, Sonarr/Radarr/Plex because they all point to windows drives. A simple replace in the DB file fixed it, and we’re running smoothly!

Gonna get an auto encode/upload working this weekend, and I’m so excited. I don’t feel held back like windows, and it doesn’t feel like work configuring it, which I was afraid of.

A few hiccups here and there, but I think of it like growing pains that will eventually go away.
