Yeah geology is fun. Lots of hands on stuff, class camping trips out to the field usually once a semester at least. Then there’s field camp which is a couple months in the wilderness mapping outcrops and studying local geology. I think it’s one of the most fun majors you can do, but I’m biased.
Yes. I have a geology degree. How else am I supposed to distinguish apatite from halite. I’ve licked many rocks. Mineralogy, petrology, and sedemenary Rocks and fossils all had finals that involved having 50 rocks in front of you to identify

I really like the way they look. I think it’s just one of those designs you either love or really hate. That angle is goofy though.
35 miles. Takes about 45 minutes. Mostly listening to podcasts and preparing or decompressing. I don’t mind the drive. No traffic and it’s through the national forest. But I do hate buying gas.

I mean, collecting only nazi stuff is weird. But I’m into history and if I had a bunch of other older military things I wouldn’t think it was weird to have an old nazi badge or something. Not to praise it or anything but it’s a real part of history.
