I’ve been trying to do this. National level seems untouchable, but at the local level I can volunteer, make friends, and help my neighbors

5·8 months ago100% I actively advocate for walking/cycling infrastructure and I still catch myself not seeing a human being outside a vehicle. How we build our streets has a huge Impact on our behavior
I’ve always wondered about this. One of the Great Filter issues is that a species must cooperate together instead of destroy itself. Maybe in our evolutionary history we needed some of those narcissistic traits to survive as individuals, but now we need to evolve.

I lost interest in photography for several years because of this. And because I’m a slow learner, I did the same thing with woodworking An extra few bucks doing a random thing or two is nice, but the side hustle gig mentality is toxic

Oh gawd, this is me. And then my parents just bounce back with “Guess Jesus is coming soon.”
