Ask Lemmygrad@lemmygrad.ml•What are some criticisms of the bourgeois court system, and what changes do Marxists propose?
8·10 months agoPaid lawyers should not be a thing. Everyone should be receiving lawyers that have the same level of resources, training and schooling provided to them.
Judges should not only be ivy-league background people. Common people should just as easily be able to become judges.
Paid bail systems should not exist.
Juries should actually be a diverse range of people, and not just white boomers who happen to have the day off.

Ask Lemmygrad@lemmygrad.ml•I would like to understand non-marxist political science better in order to better engage with it. Any reading suggestions?
3·11 months agoFoucault and Baudrillard
To add to this, Gabriel Rockhill, a marxist, does a great critique of this school of western thinking and he even came from it.

Ask Lemmygrad@lemmygrad.ml•Does Cuba and Vietnam now allowing some capitalism in their countries make them less socialist?
1·2 years agoDoes the US having communist parties and co-ops make it less capitalist? Of course not.
We always have to ask ourselves, who is in power and with whose consent are they ruling with?
Does this mean that every socialist project will be absolutely perfect and straight of a communist manifesto, of course not? There will always be contradictions, but I think it will always come down to are the proletariat in control and/ do they have a governing body that represents their interests.

A good read on the topic:
