It’s so weird seeing Kiryu Coco but it’s not tagged on Xitter and danbooru. Red head, banana hair and the loopy antenna hair are present, and just missing the floating horns. Tail missing it a non issue since it’s a plug anyways.

Life Pro Tips@lemmy.world•LPT: Always remove the si= part of YouTube links.English
3·2 days agoFor any android users reading this, urlcheck can auto remove tracking portions if a link, as well as allow to automatically apply the link to a privacy focused front end (is that what e.g. nitter is called?).
Sure it’s still am extra step to share the link to urlcheck first before sharing it to your recipient. But hey it takes out the menial task by a lot.

Even the scant moe gap they try with Eunhwa didn’t work for me. Makes me dislike her more lol

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's an unpopular UI opinion you have?English
13·9 days agoIdk I’m on two minds with this.
On the one hand, I agree that there’s too many clutter in modern UI design and it takes away precious screen real estate. Especially more so when it’s for ads (external), ads (internal), and more ads.
On the other hand, there seems to be a chronic minimalist UI movement to hide even essential controls and info into menus upon menus. The worse part is that there’s tons of whitespace so you’ll still won’t get good information density.

On the same vein, date pickers. Just let me type the damn date instead of having to choose on your virtual calendar.

2·14 days agoIt gets the job done enough to understand the jist for me, yeah. But mostly I only do short posts. A language like Japanese makes it just a lot harder from what I understand from friends that learned the language. IIRC it’s because the language relies on unspoken context and of course its grammar making machine translation trip.

Fountain Pens@lemmy.world•A trio of Jinhao 20. Happy birthday to me 🥳English
2·14 days agoI’m liking it so far. Yes, didn’t write anything since the 15th to today on the 17th, I had a dryvstart with the black the most. Purple and orange is a bit dry to start but quickly writes well enough. I wouldn’t blame the inks in this case as I knew them well and this must be the quality of $15 clone pens :P

1·14 days agoYes, I’ve gotten a dry start today on the 17th after not writing with them since the 15th. Guess I can start my journallimh on paper books early than my planned “New Year’s resolution”.
So far, I really like the style. Maybe someday I can buy a VP if money permits.

1·14 days agoYou don’t have to preach to me how it won’t be the same. I’ve tried a Lamy 2000 and know there are clones of it, and I know it won’t be the dame even without getting the clones.
But those are at least “normal pens”.
VP is just different enough that I’d want to try a clone first. And besides, the patent for the mechanism has ended. The two Chinese branda that have the VP style, Majohn and Jinhao, at least waited for it to end and do their version.
I didn’t decide to get them lightly. Even with cheap things I do research first because money is money no matter how cheap something is. The 20s getsvthe job done enough and sometimes exceed VP owners’ expectations from what I gather from youtube and reddit.
Though honestly I don’t have to justify anything but your tone made me defensive. And annoying to read :P
