With this logic, why have a rectangular selection tool, when the grid and freehand selection achieve the same result?

I live in France, and Pride in my (quite small) town doesn’t have a single private sponsor. It’s all organized by a non profit organization, gathering the various local LGBTQIA+ associations, and associations for STI prevention, human rights activists, feminists and so on.
Before the procession starts, there’s a small fair in a public park with (free) stands for all these associations, and stands where goodies are sold to finance the event.

That doesn’t mean we need more and more data centers (there’s a surge since 2022) using an energy mix with a undetermined ratio of fossile energy and green energy.
Yeah, I know Shumpeter theory. It does not predict what happens when a new technology massively destroies white collar and creative jobs.
Like tons of bullshit IA generated websites when you look for information about a file format, or conversion tools for this file format
Klnsfw 🏳️🌈@lemmynsfw.comto Technology@lemmy.world•OpenAI declares AI race “over” if training on copyrighted works isn’t fair useEnglish2·3 months agoBecause of the environmental cost and climate change
Because of the jobs being destroyed by productivity gains
Because of the Internet starting to fill up with slop that drowns out the really relevant sites
“I didn’t kill them, my gun did.”
Same logic

You should try mushrooms, they’re delicious too.
But first, lets’ deterraform Earth

It’s more like at the first place, with 26% of the mass. Majority doesn’t mean “half of”.
Nevertheless, even if the fishing industry produced no plastic pollution, it would still destroy the ecosystems directly and indirectly (breaking the food chains by fishing tons of krill and small fish to feed the farms)
Klnsfw 🏳️🌈@lemmynsfw.comto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•You are stuck in a timeloop, but your memory also gets reset every loop; But you are able to preserve 1024 Bytes of information between each reset, how would you use this "memory buffer"?7·3 months agoSo, the people I love and I are immortal. I’m in a loop, but I don’t remember anything, so each day feels it’s the day after yesterday. My actions have no consequences on the next day. It sounds pretty awesome to me. I wouldn’t do anything to break the loop. I’d just let an ASCII message to myself, to be sure I’m still blessed:
"Check the time loop
Roll the crystal blue D6
162453532541426354
Congratulations!
Have a nice day!"
(That’s less than 200 bytes. The crystal blue die is next to my PC, I would know which die the message talks about)
All of this is true because it rhymes.
I didn’t know Facebook federated
“Sentient dot” is adorable, though
At this point, they became homonyms. Nothing more.
I don’t want children, especially in a world that’s getting worse every day. And NFTs pretty much sum up many of the causes that have led us to this situation.
So I’d choose an astrology daughter without hesitation.
Species do not exist for a purpose. They are important in their ecosystem, that’s all.
And even if they don’t have a role, that doesn’t make their existence any less valuable.
