Arctic@lemmy.world•The Multi-communities option is awesome!!English
0·1 year agoOne tweak I would do is to the way we add communities to a group. Often many communities have the same word in it. Let’s say I want to add all the ones with Arduino in it, I should be able to select all the ones I want (with a checkbox) after searching for that word instead of having to add them one by one and type Arduino in the search every time.
As to make it more appearance, maybe have the multi-community section always visible in the community list.
Edit; also, having a button that says Addto Multi-Connunity in each community menu (next to favorite and block) would be a nice way to use this.

Technology@lemmy.world•Hyundai and Kia car thefts fall sharply after software upgrade, study findsEnglish
0·1 year agoHas biometric been considered for cars? I mean it’s used for phones and computers, why no cars. Maybe in addition to a key/fob. If it senses the fox and your biometrics (either finger or face or both even) it will start the car. If the car doesn’t recognize your biometrics, then you need to enter the key in the vehicle to start it. If it recognizes you can start it.
I am a steadicam operator and have been making power cables for cameras. I get calls from around the USA and the world from people trying to troubleshoot their electrical systems on their Steadicam and cinema cameras.
The fact that Nintendo shut down the servers makes it retro IMO.

9·2 years agoIncorrect. It detects motion. waving my hands under the spout doesn’t do anything no matter how long. Waving the hand 1.5 in further makes it work only while I shake my hands. It stops immediately after I love my hands. I need to have one hand further activating the sensor while I rinse the other then swap.
