I’ve noticed less interactions between strangers in general. I think there is a general anxiety issue and a fear of conversations going south/ people getting aggressive. Whether or not that’s rational idk.

Never mind I’m a dumdum. Earlier I meant to disable hide bot accounts and instead marked my account as a bot. So I had my app set to hide my own posts. Oof.

I agree completely. I actually set it so I don’t see posts from bots. Before that I was manually blocking them.

Im actually going to try enabling them again though, so I can check out the fediverser project. Maybe things will be different this time.

Ive made two communities, !gameclub@sopuli.xyz and !wizards@lemmy.world. Wizards recently broke 500 subs and is seeing posts by other users so thats really cool. Gameclub was abandoned awhile back but Ive retooled it and I still think it can serve as a catchall/casual/meme space on the site. I am posting more on other lemmy gaming communities to keep them active as well.

I stepped into a temporary position as a stopgap when the old mod of !bisexual@lemmy.world was taking a leave of abscence and it kind of bit me in the ass when the first post in months hit over 200 comments and 15 reports. I’ve added a couple new mods and Im open to adding more if anyone seems interested.

In all honesty I’ve started using tumblr more than lemmy, which on one hand is good as it gives me more content to post but on the other hand it means Im not here as often commenting and keeping an eye on things.

I’m lucky enough to live next to a retro game store. I can still walk over see a random ps1 game, glance through the manual and play it at as soon as I get home. Still lots of great stuff out there and that’s just one system. The game I just made a post about only cost me about $10.

I hate the install/download times for new stuff too. I’m hoping for some sci-fi/tech miracle that solves the whole thing.

I didn’t care for Breath of the Wild so that’s not dating much to me. I like Honkai Star Rail so I’m not surprised Genshin is good.
