I see a lot of folks here saying “based on inflation since X, item Y SHOULD only cost Z.” I want to point out those inflation numbers the government gives out every year are complete bullshit. Inflation has been WAY more than 30% over the last decade and a half or so (not you but someone above mentioned 30% as the inflation number since the aughts)

They change their basket of goods to artificially deflate inflation numbers, it is way way way higher than the 2% a year that they claim is the average. Add greed on top and you get the crazy insane prices we see today. For a 2% inflation to really work for everyone and not just the rich assholes then minimum wage needs to increase proportionately. Should force minimum wage up the stated inflation rate once a year. So every year min wage increases by 2% (or more depending on the actual inflation rate).

The amount of people who do not even know what a primary election is blows my mind. They apparently think the candidates are just magically pulled out of the air and not decided by the 39 old white dudes that seem to be the only ones except me out voting in every primary. Want ACTUAL change start telling all the democrats to start showing up to the primaries and maybe we will finally not have boomer white dudes picking both sides of every election.

No matter how bad it gets during his Presidency it will be Biden and Obama’s fault and he will have spent so much tireless effort to fix it that it may still be bad but just think of how much worse it would have been without Trump daddy here?!? Then when whoever comes in after him fixes it up and it starts getting better it will be “Trumps tactics and work in his term finally coming to fruition” and “despite their best efforts in this new administration to destroy it, Pappa Trumps policies from the previous administration are finally turning things around!”

You do know that “they” do not pick the candidates right? It is called a primary election and it is where anyone registered in the party can go and vote for WHO they want to be the candidate. It is the part of the election that is voted on by the tiniest little minority of both parties but has the absolute biggest impact on the race.

You don’t like the shit ass candidate for your party? If you did not vote in the primaries then you have no right to complain. Go vote in the primaries and complain away.
