They will be very happy :) If it grows in your area, broadleaf plantain and ribwort plantain look good in the grass and it’s really good for the buns.
I’m not 100% sure, but I think beans might not be good for them. Clover is ok, high in calories, but these wild ones will likely only eat stuff that agrees with them anyways.

I too am at war with the lawn… My neighbors all have squared off manicured hellscapes and I have a half clover lawn and things like secret areas that I don’t kill the local weeds in. I have way more birds and other interesting wildlife in my yard than the people around me. That’s a great idea to create a local wild garden, I am going to use that idea.
