I don’t get it, because I can’t see enough of the car behind that dumpster to understand the point

Nigel Mirage. Appears everywhere until there’s actual work to be done, then vanished completely.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What's going on with imgur right now?
2·4 months agoThe Imgur upload page included posting it to their community by default as its final step. It wasn’t necessary to get a link but they didn’t make it clear for the longest time.

11·4 months agoYou could just upload to Imgur and get a share link, but for the longest time it would default to also post uploads to the Imgur front page. Most random stuff would only get as far as 'user submitted ’ before sinking into the depths, but anything engaging would get up voted to most viral and attract a lot of comments.
I used to be quite active in the Imgur community before the enshitification and it was always a bit of a meme the amount of random stuff that got into user sub unintentionally.

I can’t think of any instances of publishers earning the right to receive the benefit of the doubt, in fact it’s usually them rushing out shit.
Not familiar with either of the parties in this case but did get a bit burned with Cities Skylines 2

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Has anyone ever read the book series “Biff, Chip & Kipper” as a kid?
3·5 months agoSame, I had mine bringing them home a few years ago.
One thing that always struck me was how 1990’s (and maybe earlier) the pictures were. It’s hard to put my finger on why, but they just don’t feel contemporary.
As well as the other suggestions, was discussing this with someone just yesterday and they suggested filling the port with PVA glue (like the stuff used at school, not super glue or epoxy!) and a bit of thread, then pulling it out with all the crud once it’s set.
No idea how effective it is personally, when I got my current phone I got some plastic usb c port covers and that stays in place whenever I’m not charging, so far it’s done the job.
Because they shit themselves inside out and were no longer full of it?

Technology@lemmy.world•Zotac accidentally lists RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 family weeks before launch — accidental listing seemingly confirms the RTX 5090 with 32GB of GDDR7 VRAMEnglish
4·1 year agoA 5060 with 8gb will have Intel wringing their hands with glee. Whatever performance gains the ($300-350) 5060 GPU has (and I don’t doubt they’ll be notable) will be choked off by an 8gb framebuffer. They might do a 16gb clamshell like they did with the 4060ti but like you said, where does that leave the 12gb 70 card?

Same, but Makita. My parents had a handheld Dyson, and it was a pain at times because they had to charge it when it died, or you found no one had charged it at the worst times. Because I always have a spare Makita battery it’s just a case of swapping them over and sticking the dead on on the charger while you continue vacing
