The vast majority of people couldn’t just live off basic income. Maybe a single person, no kids, no drinking, no house, no car, and living very frugality might be able to not work.

I have two strong opinions about basic income.

I’ll be retired and collecting a government cheque lot before we get it in Canada.

I am 100% behind a basic income.

I gave up watching Rober when he proclaimed he loves his Tesla and will buy another one. This is was said well after Musk went full Nazi dirtbag. Rober has enough money to buy another electric, he doesn’t have to support that man.

Auto repair isn’t my thing but it’s good to know there are still quality channels out there. Thanks.

I looked at her channel. Judging from the thumbnails it seems to be a lot of politics and “the sky is falling” content. She used to be about bushcraft.

I find most channels will degrade once the creator makes Youtube their full-time job. Afterwards, it’s all about selling products, donations, sponsors, and memberships.

Consider what happens when you are the last living creature on this planet. Eventually, the sun expands into a red giant and now you give to live in constant agony inside the sun. Of course, there is space travel so perhaps you can avoid an extreme sunburn.

His goal was to outlive the rest and get the prize.

I only plan for things that are possible so no plan to live forever.

Having said that, scientists are working on a cure for aging. Even if they sort that out before I die, the treatments will be too expensive for me.

There are plenty of potential embarrassing, but completely legal activities, that people have a right to do.

Any reduction in the flow of data to big tech is a win. Its a journey, not a race. Good on you for starting.

As for trying to convince people, it usually a waste of time unless they are truly interested.

My usual tactic is to inform them about how google can and does close accounts for vague terms of service violations.

That makes sense.
