That is how the insert animal name do

If it helps, op isn’t the one opening twitter. It’s whoever wrote the article for 404media

Oh I didn’t realise it WASN’T the individual with the username until you pointed it out. We’ve gotten used to strange things on lemmy
I need some sympathy

One thing you’ll see here is that it’s a lot more human than Reddit. People here are wayyyy more willing to ask questions and understand instead instead of just assuming. People here are also more willing to actually provide links and supporting documentation.
Of course, I’m not saying that always makes people right, but people are also more willing to accept when they’re mistaken and also give people the benefit of the doubt.
It’s a breath of fresh air on the internet.
This is a comment that you read my dude. No ear bleach will aid in this situation, unfortunately

So long, gay bowser!
That’s a perfect use case for that sentence

I didn’t even realise I wasn’t subscribed! Now that’s pretty dull of me
Kids these days spending all their money on avocockos and toast
smh my head

I like your posts on the games you’re playing Atticus. And you’re 100% right, people have become much more willing to show how shitty they are. I think they’re more willing because they see how people can still succeed while openly being shitty people, so they no longer assume that being inhuman impedes their personal success.
The only positive I can think of is that it least this makes shitty people easier to point out. It doesn’t make them easier to avoid because we’re unfortunately all bound to cross paths with them.

That’s especially true when your target demographic don’t seem to have morals

Damn, anyone catering to right wing has it really easy when it comes to PR these days
This is a suitable method of deriving, since the final answer for the derivative isn’t wrong

I really want this mindset to be everywhere, not just on Lemmy. I wish everyone had the support mechanisms that people need to survive.
An issue in some situations is a small number of people abuse the fuck out of the support mechanisms available. This leads people to agree with “we shouldn’t provide it if it’s going to be abused”. Which they’re obviously incorrect in stating.
I’ve never seen Star Trek, but if applied to reality it should be “The needs of the many outweigh the desires of the few”

No problem buddy!
You having read my comment and benefited from it means that me writing it wasn’t time wasted :)

Hey, as long as writing that comment helped you vent then it wasn’t time wasted
“stick 'em with the pointy end”
I mean, as you said this would function perfectly as a foldable letter opener,
