You have to remember that it’s not retroactive so it should only affect future games. The games at that point wouldn’t have that issue because they would know not to do anything to make it extremely difficult if not impossible to release a server or something. So even that point of his is pretty dumb.

When I tried that service recently I found that it’s incredibly slow. It’s like all the ISPs in the Philippines intentionally throttle it or something. In contrast to that, using Zerotier to connect instead gives me normal speeds.

It’s likely for 'user friendliness’. Most people don’t even know what an archive is and that it should be extracted so a folder is much more intuitive and familiar to them.
