I’m pretty sure that my own mother has called me a child of a whore so I totally get it. That phrase is used about as much as fuck is in English.

Honestly, not really. They might think you’re just confused. Misgendering in that way doesn’t come across as offensive in Spanish as it does in English. There are way more effective ways to insult someone, even if you’re still aiming to demasculate them.

There are many people who are very blind but not completely so (e.g. really can’t see anything at a distance). They may be able to operate well in a lab environment.
There are people whose mental health issues are rare or can often be prevented with a service animal. Their “breakdowns” are likely not destructive anyway, so no real risk to the lab itself.
Service animals also sometimes help to warn that someone is about to have a seizure, so they can go somewhere safe.

I can’t reveal too much at this point but in the same vein as you currently having to read the story and footnotes, jumping between them, there are other layers that get added and it adds too much to the story to ignore.
This one is worth reading on paper. I say that as an avid ebook reader myself. Get the real thing for this experience.
I loved this book. However, I mostly read it while travelling on public transit. That was a huge mistake. I’d be so absorbed trying to make sense of it, flipping back and forth through sections, flipping the book upside down to read in circles, etc. then only when I reached my destination and put the book away would I realize everyone is staring at me like I’m crazy…
11/10 would make a scene in public again.
Also, I used 3 bookmarks in total, simultaneously, while reading this and that’s a record for me.

Except that men’s pants don’t fit at all. Women have curves and men are more… Straight? Plus the crotch area is weird and will rub weirdly if you use men’s pants.
Unless they’re a minority, in which case they become “youth” as soon as they’re born and are treated like adults as soon as they can talk.

8·3 months agoBeing a child of immigrants, neither I nor my parents were aware that there were connotations to my super awesome purple shirt with a giant glittery “69” written on the front. It was so cheap, and way better quality than any of the other clothes we could afford. I wore it proudly at least once a week from grades 3 to 6. I visited multiple friends’ houses and parents wearing it because it was my best shirt. No one said anything about it.
I’ve definitely noticed paper straws come in different qualities, and are affected differently depending on what you’re drinking. But the ones that turn mushy were largely phased out of use because I’m sure a lot of people complained. I haven’t had a mushy straw in years.

I wouldn’t be surprised if German had a word meaning German has a word for everything.

Also can be used for someone no one wants to deal with.
