I had this issue with Debian once…fedora just worked great for me…except the nvidia card! Can’t run anything with the GPU…steam does not run with it…OBS crashes…It makes me wonder about LMDE…

I like XFCE because is simple and my PC is a toaster with an NVIDIA card so…whenever I have XFCE on Wayland I’ll switch to it.

Yeah, I use lineage with microg…and it’s been tough… I had to deal with several government apps in order to start a new job and guess what? None of them work…I had to use my wife’s phone to get my new ID… I’m a teacher and I have to use government apps to deal with student’s absences…that Does not work either…basically anything that relys on Brazilian government app to authenticate something is not going to work. I tried to use the website…guess again…it does not work! One can’t export an ID from the website…I had been dealing with banking apps without much trouble…but this ID thing is terrible! How come you can only do stuff using an app and not using the website!?

On Fedoraa, I followed this guide from fedora forum, installing them from rpmfusion…the akmod something…

They’re mostly issues with steam and games… Steam app does not launch with the dedicated GPU…same with games…once I force it to use the nvidia card, games get worse and some of them don’t even launch… Same games I used to play when I had Ubuntu on my machine (my dell laptop came with Ubuntu 18.04 pre installed)

Yeah, my next PC will definitely be AMD but I’m also not buying a new machine for a while…
