Warped tour in the 90s used to get some massive pits going. I really miss those days

I’m all done with my plans for the weekend. Friday night was DnD, this morning was mowing the lawn. Now I get to hang out with my kids and maybe play some board games.

I watch it but it’s because I enjoy soccer and their team has made history. It’s entertaining to me to see the inner workings of a soccer team. I don’t know anyone else who watches it

7PM I work nights
Now we know the answer to the age old question “what’s long and green and smells like pork”

Glad I could join near the end to get some people’s reactions. Will try to join on those Fridays where I’m not busy

I don’t know how unconventional my interests are but: TTRPGs, board games, and uhh I guess taking things apart to see how they were made is interesting but only if I can hold the pieces in my hands
I usually pinch the knife (from the dull side) with my thumb and finger right up against the pit, putting pressure on it just until it pops off. Very similar to your method

In the US. I get all federal holidays plus my birthday and a few extra holidays (like an extra day around new years, Thanksgiving and Christmas) plus I get 25 days of paid vacation but no sick days. In 3.5 years I’ll get the maximum of 30 days/year.
Our vacation time is tied to years of service.
1 year = one week 1-5 years = two weeks 5-10 years = three weeks 10-20 years= four weeks 20-25 years = five weeks 25+years = six weeks
Of course by “week” I mean 5 days of vacation.

Since this is marked NSFW, I can say this here: I might stand on the top rung of a ladder on occasion

I tell all the new guys “if your manager doesn’t want you want to lock something out, call me. I’ll lock it out. There’s nothing in this place worth getting hurt for.”
Here, our equipment is old enough that sometimes powering things down means they don’t come back up properly. I’d rather fight getting a machine back up and running vs having to hear about someone being injured.

My wife and I do this for various holidays. “You bought me this new board game, what did I get you?” Is a common utterance at our Christmas

I can’t have too much salt because I have Menieres disease. It’s a degenerative inner ear problem which means too much salt makes me dizzy, more salt makes my inner ear swell, that leads to feeling like there’s something in my ear and vertigo.
I’m one of the “lucky” ones. I can control it with diet (at least so far) but, other people can’t. That means they live in constant fear of a vertigo attack or even what they call “drop attacks” which makes you feel like you’re pinned to the ground. Often there’s no warning before they hit.

I’ve tried a few journaling games but can’t find the motivation to play them regularly. At one point I thought about setting up an Obsidian vault to randomly pick a setup so I could just open the app and essentially start writing but even that I lost motivation for. I think solo RPGs just may not be for me, y’know?

Nice! I wish I could get into solo RP but have never been able to find a game that works for me that way.

I used to use OBS with a second screen for my IRL games. I could set it up to display art of NPCs or track initiative or whatever else. Now we use a TV screen with Foundry running.

SPARTA!
I also work in a factory but our temperature is largely unregulated with the exception of offices, break areas and certain departments where the stock needs to be kept away from too much humidity (so, even in those departments it’s humidity control not air conditioning). In the winter it’s cold enough that we’ve had pipes freeze in the center of the building and in the summer it’s normal to see 100 degrees at 3am. It’s too bad I don’t live in one of those states where it’s “regulated” because I think anyone would say those temperatures are unreasonable.
