I use Brave since some extensions I use don’t work on Firefox and I prefer it as well. Once you turn off all of the crypto and other bloat - it’s the best browser ever, at least for me.

I get that, but alternatives suck. Firefox doesn’t even support all of the extensions I need.

You can easily hide crypto stuff (which I do) and Chromium is great, just not Google Chrome, but the actual Chromium.

I’m all for attacking infra - we need to make this shit more resilient and we need to transition to memory-safe langs like Rust. This will hopefully accelerate it. Also, I lol at people saying Trump/Elon/Doge will destroy the US when in reality - these kinds of people who wanna attack it probably have way better chances to do so.

Lemmy is WAY more left-leaning and instance/community mods are often more trigger-happy when removing comments/banning people.

Love it or hate it - YouTube is still the largest and best video platform out there. It doesn’t matter how “good” any other platforms are if they don’t have the content and creators. I’m all for posting on other platforms in addition to YouTube, but you can’t just ignore something like YT.
