  • First, it’s the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Uyghurs, same as Israel and the Palestinians.

Second, no excuses here. You brought up the Israeli genocide in a thread that had nothing to do with the genocide and did it in a way so as to seemingly say that China is somehow less corrupt and guilty than the US… It’s not. Neither genocide is excusable or justifiable.

  • You’re saying “won’t” when I think you mean “can’t”… As in, the number of people who have that much disposable income has dropped to a point where there just aren’t enough people with the ability to pay… And instead of fighting to raise the minimum wage (and all wages in general), or lowering their prices to a point most people can afford, they’ve chosen to make shittier stuff

  • I think it’s a matter of the difference between the quality of life one COULD have vs what they do have. A couple hundred years ago, even royalty died from diseases that are curable today. Society need 90% of people to be farm labor just to be able to provide for 9% military and 1% aristocracy. Today, we know we COULD have access to things that would substantially improve our quality of life, and could have those things without needing much human labor, but these things are being kept from us.

Maybe numbers to help me explain:

Hundreds of years ago you might have lived at a 1, but the best anyone could hope for was like a 3. Today, you might live at a 3, but everyone could be living at a 9. So it’s the difference between how we DO live, and how we COULD live that people complain about.

  • Have you applied for unemployment yet? They’ll usually back pay to when you were laid off too if you get through all the red tape… Might be a state by state thing idk

Have you ever thought about talking to a therapist about the magic aura thing? There might be something you don’t realize that they could help you figure out.

Could you get a job of any kind and reduce your living standard for a little while to match what you make? This is a shitty answer, and really should only ever apply to the 1%… But sadly we do live in a capitalist hellscape… Good luck

  • I’ve been thinking if I could ever afford it, maybe work with section 8 to actually buy the property for the “renter”. Sort of a lease to own, except section 8 pays. Once I’ve gotten my money back plus a small profit the home belongs to the tenant, and I build more housing, rinse and repeat. Would probably need to hire someone to help people manage that though. Some people don’t know how to maintain a home because they’ve always rented or because mental illness or whatever.
