that being said, it works correctly here with and without javascript, in firefox, opened from voyager, so I don’t get it

but that looks like an embedded firefox, in custom tabs mode. I think it’s common for apps to open links in your default browser that way.

what client do you use? it seems as if it even removed your own default upvote, maybe it’s the thing that is broken

do computationally expensive OCR
I think that’s easier to do for GPUs than CPUs, and they could do it nonstop with say a 5 fps rate.
but also now that I think of it more, the graphics card doesn’t really need to do all this, the manufacturer given binary blob kernel driver has easier access to disk and network

I think we agree on that. my point is, we don’t need to use neither usa tech or chinese tech for our social media platforms. we shouldn’t celebrate china being there “to save us”.
also, I think china could still hurt us, on the short term, by manipulating elections and other things through manipulating public opinion and the values people hold. they have both the data and the channels to execute it.

and most dont trust the government so why would they trust the propaganda?
because visually it’s not coming from the government but “independent content creators”. and regardless of who says it, people will trust propaganda that says things they want to hear, then over time, start trusting those who say that

that does not make them good, but fortunately we don’t have to accept either, right?

yes you can, if tomorrow you’ll be thrown in jail for your taxes

hahahaha that’s a good one. they all are so addicted they will reinstall it in a week.

just wait until you know what your graphics card could actually do. live OCR on screen contents, face detection and training on anything ever displayed on the screen.
unless I miss something then also direct access to all system memory (when SR-IOV is disabled, or has been set up improperly), write access to onboard firmware, probably access to your drives and network too.
same applies to any pci express device you put into your machine.

that’s no question, NSO group and I think a few other commercial rootkit makers are also located there.

chinese software is way too often shoddy quality. the state does not need to plant backdoors, because most all of their products already include them. nothing is invulnerable, true, but chinese software is just not secure at all.
for an example, just look up chinese iot devices, even popular brands like tplink. lots of unbranded and sometimes noname branded cameras use the same firmware base, connecting to the same cloud service allowing unauthenticated remote access to the devices, their networks, and arbitrary firmware updates.

hardware requirement bypass? hell no. at that point 10 LTSC and activation bypass

but you can’t compete with them. you should really be adjusting your wants! be happy you are alive

yeah, people who live in the US of A should be just happy they are still alive!

I would agree, if websites and webapps wouldn’t be so bloated as they are. if the rich wouldn’t make us to downgrade out of their gluttony. but also, old technology is not that easily available. production lines have been shut down long ago, and if everyone went to the used market, nothing would be available even there anymore.

its sad, but its still true, other than it being temporary. its still not safe to think as your home about places that only tolerate you until you can satisfy the lord.

no, it’s too fast

neither does the something.vercel.app domain
the issues with tiktok started when it was first announced. It’s sad that it got “heroified” through the gaza events
