I missed the drama. This was the first Lemmy account I made. Is this server overrun with bots now?

Look at that, supreme court not supporting a coup attempt…

Not their first carrier, first one with that system. This is their 4th design I think.

Yeah, that metric has not aged well. I can see my neighbor’s Yorkie from space on Google maps.

Finally got around to dns-01 and acme containers today. Hooray LE signed wildcard lab cert.

Adjustment on bullet one. We shouldn’t say they “raise” the chance, they are correlated with the increase. There has been no causal path suggested that I’m aware of. It’s a hard distinction if your not used to the concept, but it’s important.
I love the idea of this. I don’t think I would realistically ever buy or do this, but the process is clever and looks like it works well.

It looks to me like China isn’t really interested in helping Russia win. They are helping Russia just enough to keep fighting and throwing away, well, everything.
I feel like the first time you notice that you have lost some mental capacity is a middle age right of passage.

What a bizarre event. I wish I was there ;)

Honestly, that is awesome! Absolutely try things. Seeing what works and doesn’t is a great way to learn. The sneaky thing about hiding is that it works great until it fails utterly. (Security through obscurity.) I’m sure everyone who says “don’t do that” says it because they left some random thing open once and it was a disaster. (I lost a private wiki with all my notes back in the day.)
Keep at it. ;)

I’m not sure what you mean by non-spying, but you should be prepared for anything you put on the Internet to be poked by any number of people that you do not want poking. If whatever you are hosting would be compromised by having a DNS name, you might want to rethink your security plan.

Ahh, the greater sea weasel

They’ve had a big fight, like two kids in a schoolyard. You know, they fight like hell, you can’t stop them. Let them fight for about two to three minutes, then it’s easy to stop them," he said at a press conference.
Rutte laughed and added: “And then daddy has to sometimes use strong language to get (them to) stop.”
Or, “Poorly written article quotes Atlantic article but adds almost nothing”
I totally agree. If anyone has a way of filtering this stuff out, please share.
As I understand it, the importer has to fill out a form for a fee adjustments. But assuming they do that, I think yes.
I heard a port facilitator guy talking about the fee adjustment thing when the tariffs were starting. Good guess on his part.
To some extent that’s true, but anyone who builds network software of any kind without timeouts defined is not very good at their job. If this traps anything, it wasn’t good to begin with, AI aside.

I’m not saying that they won’t do this, but so far their actual actions have ended up pretty decent. I’ve had 3 Synology devices over the last 12(?) years, and while they are not perfect, they have been very good at delivering what they promised over the long haul. All of them still work fine. Even the old guy delivers.
That is a lot of LSD! I think we would hear about that one.
