Yeah it’s like when you’re leaving a store whose manager sucks and instituted receipt checking.

Youre trying to leave and there’s this big line of people getting checked. You can just leave. People seem happy to sheep along but you can just leave.

Many years ago now I bought some shitty furniture at a target (I think it was a desk chair or something) and I refused to acknowledge the receipt checker so they followed me to my car at which point I just lied and told them I’d thrown it away after I left the store. Of the two of us, the other guy was the only one who might get in trouble.

It’s been 15 years, when exactly will EVs be cheaper? And why isn’t it yet? I hear from the tankies that it’s cause america won’t let us buy cheap Chinese EVs. If that isn’t why I don’t get it. We went from blackberries to batteries that can run a computer faster than a desktop of the era for multiple days, but we can’t sort out EVs? The core enabling technology (the transistors) aren’t even that expensive. The obvious answer is capitalism but which part?
