Excellent post title. I don’t know if it’s an original but I hadn’t seen it before.

15·3 months agoThe story I heard in a medeival history class about the origin of the handshake is that it’s a sign that you don’t mean to attack the other person because you’re not holding a weapon in your hand

0·1 year agoAren’t the meat products used for pets by-products of the meat (for humans) industry? That is, isn’t it the case that no additional livestock animals are slaughtered to feed pets, beyond those that are already being slaughtered to feed humans?
My only issue with this is that it’s been posted in the Lemmy Shitpost community, and it’s not shit at all.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What does "brain fog" feel like to you?
2·2 years agoFor me it feels like complete inability to focus on anything or to recall specific concepts (like not being able to think of a word).
This is a super interesting thread because I wonder if what I’m experiencing is even brain fog at all, or just ADHD. And I also wonder how other folks know when they’re feeling brain fog.
Like, do any of you have a test for yourself to know when you’re feeling brain fog (or inversely, a test to be sure you’re not)?
