Hobbies are not for making money. That’s what a job is for. Hobbies are where you sink the money you have left from your job and all the other expenses are paid.

That said.

Hobbies for me include:

Hiking (lots of good trails nearby)

Making sounds on my Synth (I’m building a case right now)

TTRPGS (when you can wrangle enough folks)

Skirmish Games (mainly Gaslands)

Video games (slay the spire, and casual WoW)

Also I lied, I have no idea what the fuck this is.

I’ve tasted a couple of cookies/treats. Milkbones, stuff from 3 dog bakery and what not. Milkbones have no flavor that I can discern. The boutique dog cookie was fine, I can see how a dog would get down on it.

You get to messages and phone by swiping left or right respectively

There are only like 3 other apps in the drawer, I renamed them all put them in sections.

This is where I get to settings and a few other apps I hid.

Other things to note:

You get to the clock / alarm by tapping the clock, same for the calendar.

You get to hidden apps by doing a long press and then tapping Olauncher at the top, but I means, you should try to get rid of as many apps as you can - once you start deleting it gets easy to keep doing it.

Honestly with the changes made, I see no need to replace this. When the time does come I’ll buy a used phone that’s a couple of generations behind and wear that one out.

I can easily get another 2-3 years out of this now.

I’m in the corporate world, I’m a hiring manager. I refuse to have a linkedin. Everyone says they wish they could do the same - then do it. Do the same. Nothing happened to me, nothing will happen to you other than your life being better because you aren’t on Linkedin.

It is hi res - if you are using Boost for Lemmy when you open the image, look in the upper right hand corner and hit HD - that will load the HD version. It’s just loading the smol version to be faster for you, you can adjust that in your settings I believe.

Yuck. I will check out matrix. That is disappointing about revolt. I guess it’s owning it’s name.

I’m trying to get my friends to navigate away from discord, but none of them share my privacy concerns. I’m just the butt of the joke. Is what it is.

Has anyone had any experience with Revolt? Is it worth it to set that up - what are some viable discord alternatives you all use?

What a helpful system that doesn’t contribute to littering and illegal dumping at all.
