clubb@lemmy.worldto Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•What distro would you recommend to harness the full power of this semi old cheapo PC with an NVIDIA GPU?English16·17 days agoThere’s already a thousand comments, but I’ll give my opinion anyway. Debian is by far the most reliable distro I have ever used. It’s easier to install than arch in my opinion, and is completely rock solid. However, if you have at least a year experience with linux and you like tinkering, nothing beats arch. I don’t recommend using distros like pop_os, endevour os, or manjaro, simply because once you have a bit of experience, it just introduces more points of failure.
TLDR;Debian, or if you are experienced, arch.
Class of ‘09 ending. Average southern experience reffers to the high amount of fascists in southern USA.
Honestly, not really. I live in a pretty conservative family, so I never had this talk. Thankfully, I (think) I have my facts through.
Well, with that kind of CPU, I’d reccomend 32GB of RAM, as 16 feels a little weak for such a chip.
Embrace the endless ocean in my ass

The same Lezlie Benzies wrote the story for all of them. Still, I’m pretty sure he left some time ago, same with Lazlow. I still have high hopes for GTA VI though.

I played it for years on every remotely popular linux distro, from debian, to ubuntu, linux mint, fedora etc. It’s just the fucking anticheat.
You can make that point for any operating system, basic critical thinking could mean anything
Of course Russia’s not included! Not obvious at all…

Thus, whenever you restart, you lose everything. You could install linux on a usb, but thats incredibly slow, in my experience. If you could detail your problem, maybe we can help you fix it, instead of applying an ineffective bandage.

Still, sites like youtube.com and web.whatsapp.com don’t work. Everything else I’ve tried works, though.

Dankpods fan, are you now?
Btw, by far the most convincing windows 95 theme is chicago95, for which you need xfce. Except for the start menu, it is indestiguishable. You just need solitaire through wine and you’re good to go :)
