Jesse adding “removed” to that sentence in that scene is an example of the Mandela effect. Lots of people remember it that way, but he actually says “Yeah science! Yeah Mr. White!”

Yeah lol last time I needed a new GPU because mine died, it was pretty much the peak of Ethereum mining. I was doing lots of freelance motion graphics work at the time and needed something beefy but all these guys were buying every high spec card that came out, in bulk, to mine ETH.
Really hoping my 3090 doesn’t suddenly burst into flames in the next few months… fingers crossed.

Their joke but worse

On the health front, the number of people calling themselves Dr. Whatever on YouTube and social media talking about all kinds of health conditions is huge. They talk about anything from dermatology to diets to cancer prevention but when you actually look into what type of doctor they are, it always ends up being Doctor of Chiropractic a.k.a. Doctor of pseudoscientific semi-religious bullshit that isn’t even recognised in my country, but for some reason is in the US, yet they go about masquerading as real medical doctors!
Drives me nuts!

Damn straight and I wanted all this plastic in my brain and balls anyway!
That damages the cable over time. Which is the point of this YSK
Fair enough! If you like the deeper end of dubstep you’ll probably like some of Main Phase’s 2-step releases like this:
https://open.spotify.com/track/1lMoDHp52FjhfbE7CeUwlB
Bakey also has a similar vibe just a bit darker
Smokey Bubblin’ B releasing on Main Phase and Interplanetary Criminal’s label is pretty crazy!
I used yunohost for a bit and while it was easy setup, it wasn’t easy to troubleshoot weird errors because hardly anyone uses it.
I’d recommend setting up:

Yeah same, we’re just early adopters.
I don’t think there even were other instances back then.
Ethan Chlebowski has a cool video on how to meal prep if you hate meal prepping, a really flexible way if you don’t want to decide what you’re eating each day for a whole week.
Basically you braise a fuck load of meat on Sunday, which just means stick it in water in the oven for at least 5 hours (I generally do chicken thighs or beef ribs) and then shred it and put it in a container in the fridge. Then you make whatever you feel like on the day but because you’ve already done the meat, it generally takes 10mins or less to cook anything.
On a lazy day I’ll get a packet of instant ramen, some spinach and brocoli and throw it all in a pot with a decent serving of the shredded meat and that’s a meal in less than 10mins.
If I’m feeling like a bit more work, I’ll make the tinga recipe from that video and a fat bastard burrito with all the trimmings.
In between I might make some kind of pasta ragu with a pre-made sauce and then have a punnet of berries afterwards to make it a bit healthier.

Yeah at least they’re generally the weight they say they are

supraliminal
Thanks for my word of the day!
Not to mention so many projects putting their support in walled garden chat services like Discord that you can’t even search via search engine. Even if you can figure out who asked the right question and when, you have to trawl through a sea of inane garbled chat to get to the developer/expert response.
Specialised topic forums really need to make a resurgence but I doubt they will.

That’s not how companies are measured against each other though. How are you even quantifying the cultural impact? You could have said many companies are bigger than Apple because they have a bigger physical footprint, bigger customer base, larger number of staff, bigger area of operation, larger mass of product or many other things but the fact is when we compare the “size” of companies, we are referring to their market cap.

All 3 of those are smaller than Apple. The only 2 companies with bigger market caps than Apple are Nvidia and Microsoft.

I just took my first pill and now I’m Superman
I wrote this a while ago for people who are feeling like you. I’ll copy it below so you don’t have to follow the link but it might be worth checking out the discussions in the comments.

Just a word of warning to everyone just starting their meds. This euphoria you’re feeling in your first week or even month isn’t going to last. You’re high right now because of all the new chemicals that haven’t become the norm yet.
This will eventually calm down and that’s completely normal, it doesn’t mean you need to rush to up your dose or switch meds (I’m not saying don’t do these things as recommended by your doc).
Make the most out of this time but don’t kick yourself if you’re not as productive a month from now when the high is gone and your energy levels get closer to normal.
The more profound effect of the meds will still be there to help you focus and function but feeling the pill kick in like a rocket up your arse won’t. The crazy unending motivation to be productive won’t either and that’s on you to keep up when the high dies down. Use this time to change some of your habits and build a routine that will last.
Another thing to remember as this all normalises in your brain is that you will feel more ADHD than you ever have when you don’t take your meds. When you find yourself having forgotten to take your pill or taking a break from it, that isn’t how you were before you started your meds, it’s all super exaggerated. Brain fog will be 110% cumulonimbus, you’ll likely not have the focus to pay attention to a 10 minute youtube video and you may want to eat a planet. Don’t start thinking this was how you were before meds and treat the meds like a crutch because that’s not what they’re there for.
They help with focus and that’s all they should do.
If you catch yourself wanting to take more than you should to get that high back then stop and have a long hard think about it before you do because that’s a slippery slope to substance abuse.
It honestly winds me up that this sub upvotes all the “I just took my first pill and now I’m superman” posts. That’s not how this works and it doesn’t last.
Neurotypical people don’t leap out of bed every morning thinking they’re going to conquer the world in 10 minutes flat. That’s just the initial high and we should warn people about it.

I am of the firm belief that most people should not live by themselves. We are social creatures and the notion that we should be immediately independent and solitary as soon as we can afford to is completely crazy.
My advice in the short term would be to try to fill your evenings and weekends with as many visits to friends as possible and in the longer term keep a lookout for possible shared accommodation with some people you get on well with.

Damn tasty username right there
Fair enough! Def worth a watch
