And still, what I have seen of Marvel movies (specially complaints about excessive CGI) are still more decent than the average AI meme. They just aren’t living up to the expectations Marvel had craved for itself with previous, good movies.

You think you can identify AI because you only take into consideration the AI that you’re able to identify. Every time you get tricked into thinking AI is an actual person, you don’t realize it so you don’t factor it in.

Well, yeah, when I said I learned the artstyles that it uses, I meant the low quality, barely polished ones that most people use to make AI slop.

I swear, a lot of the AI hate these days really outs how ignorant people are about the world they live and how illogically they go about obtaining or verifying information.

The hate is because people will not only post slop, but it will be mass-produced slop because they have to spend ZERO time and effort on it so across different people the artstyle will be similar and, therefore, predictable.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still an upgrade from mainstream social media like Reddit, Facebook, etc., but to think the money I meant for Lemmy as a tech is being used to maintain a tankie (“communists did bad things because of the west” or straight up denying attrocities, the ones that defend dictators just because they were communist [my issue is defending dictators, not communism], type tankies), “dems and reps are the same because dems aren’t leftist enough” type instance… Makes me doubt. If donations for each were separated I wouldn’t doubt.

I’m probably overthinking it, though. I was funding Reddit through ads, after all. It just gives me the ick to donate to people who allow the praisal of dictators on their instance.

The artstyle. I have learned (through experencie, more than through actual research) what artstyles AI uses, but I can’t point out exactly what are their characteristics, they just give me a special type of uncanny valley vibes. In this one, the eyes are what stand out the most because I do remember more memes with that type of eyes, but I think I have also seen these face shapes in other AI memes.

Call me crazy, but I think there is a bit of difference between the average worker, and CEOs, investors and execs, in terms of hability to sway the company one way or another.

Trump is the peak example that they can, in fact, just change policy on a dime, laws and constitution be dammed.

Except politics, actually, can change the service. For example, surrendering data in secret. Or installing backdoors.

Not that I think Proton is gonna do that (or at least hope so), but thinking “why would I care about politics, they don’t affect the app on a technical level” is incredibly naive and potentially incorrect.
