Trump: well I saw it on TV! Someone said it on TV! Someone wouldn’t just go and say something on TV if it wasn’t true!

Shouldn’t the president of the country have a bit of higher standard of evidence than “I saw someone say it on TV”?

This game is still one of my all time favorites. I was annoyed by a spoiler in the official Dark Souls 2 trailers and decided not to watch trailers of games I wanted to play therefore I went into Bloodborne completely blind. And I’m glad I did because what an experience it was!

I loved the scenery, loved the setting, and for the beginning of it I was thinking, this is cool, fast paced Dark Souls werewolf game, I’m way into it! And then halfway through it made a turn into eldritch horror and that moment when I realized that will always live on as one of my top gaming experiences.

I’d read a bunch of Lovecraft’s stories and I really loved them but I wasn’t really into the expanded mythos beyond that and so this was the first video game I had played with this kind of stuff. I loved every minute of it, even the Chalice dungeons which I think I’m in the minority there.

I still think mechanical watches are a pretty neat idea. I also never forget my towel so there’s some hope for me yet.

There’s a difference between someone who is an incel and someone who would like to, but can’t find someone to have sex with. It’s like how all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares. Not all people who can’t find someone to have sex with are incels even if they are technically involuntarily celibate. There is a lot more that goes along with the incel community than JUST involuntary celibacy.

A shy or fat guy who can’t find someone to sleep with might not classify as an incel for example, but someone who thinks like your comment very much does.

I’ve always liked it. I guess it depends who is saying it because when my old boss said it, it meant more like, “this is the situation we’re in, let’s not waste time arguing about why it is the situation and let’s just focus on dealing with it and going forward”

Paying attention to what you’re doing. Sounds simple but so many people don’t do it. They just keep doing the same thing and act surprised when it never works. If you pay attention to what you do and the outcome of your actions, you can improve everything you do and become very efficient.

Home is a state of being in addition to a location.

You’d have to find people who knew how to do those things. Cisterns, aqueducts, and even farming didn’t just happen, they developed over time of people figuring out small things, and passing on the information generation after generation and building on the knowledge slowly. For the vast majority of human history, we didn’t do these things.

Take ten or twenty random people from modern society and see how many of them know how to grow plants in a harsh environment and good luck getting one who knows how to work with stone. Just look back into our past, even relatively modern history, how often groups of people who were experienced farmers with passed down knowledge were almost, or actually were, starved out by the environment. Surviving is hard, even for those who have practised it. Modern society has made us forget that. Nature is waiting to own us again, and when she does, it will be brutal and nowhere near as easy as you make it sound. There’s a reason we almost went extinct numerous times.

If you could hand pick a group of survivors, sure you could make a community, but you don’t get to hand pick. You get who you happen to meet out of those who happen to survive which means random, which means good luck keeping the required skill sets alive.
