Estimates ranged from 4 to 18 birds killed per turbine per year.

Owned cats range from around 4 to 30+ birds killed per year. One every few weeks or months.

Cars: Estimated that 60 million to 200 million are killed by automobiles every year.

If we are concerned about bird numbers, we should probably start banning pet cats first.

As with all of these things, it’s a yes but no.

We need to be energy independent from places like Russia, and if the only way to do it is by using UK produced gas then so be it. We can’t be in a position where we can be held to ransom because we shut down all fossil fuel power in the drive to make all our stats look green.

I’ll have to look it up, but it was generally understood that birds were able to avoid objects, even predictable moving ones.

Because Apple hardware is just better for certain use-cases. I can’t think of a single other manufacturer that would sell me a small form factor computer with 4 or 5 Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports. I would have to purchase a system and add a couple of PCIe cards.
