6, I spent too much time in the sun today and triggered a migraine. Laying in a dark room waiting on the imitrex to kick in.
To add to this already awesome list
The major problem—one of the major problems, for there are several—one of the many major problems with governing people is that of whom you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them.
To summarize: it is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it.
To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.
Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
One of my favorite past times at places like this is watching people almost get hit by cars not realizing these are active roads. I’ve seen it there and at Dealey Plaza.
I’m right there with you. I hate the current trend of rounded corners on everything. I know designers say it is more aesthetically pleasing, but to me it just looks like wasted space.
I have misophonia, so that is basically hell to me
But 85% audience score. Critics seems to love to hate on those types of teen movies. Can’t Hardly Wait has 43%.
I still quote that movie to this day. Especially if I eat Popeyes Chicken
Archer - his ability to keep count of every bullet fired
30 Rock - Kenneth being immortal
I have bookshelves full of Superman comics, graphic novels, books, basically anything in print I can get my hands on. And I’ve read every last one of them. I grew up on Christopher Reeve Superman films and will still watch all 4 of them. I’ve watched the old Fleischer cartoons, Super Friends, the 90s animated series, and all Justice League shows. I own the entire Smallville series on DVD. I was one of the dozen or so people who subscribed to DC streaming service before Max. And I’ve watched every Superman movie and TV show that came out in the last 25 years.
I’ve never gone back and watched Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. There is no reason I’ve never watched it other than I just haven’t gotten around to it.
Every time I’ve opened an Office app this week it has given me some copilot welcome screen and opened it’s own sidebar. I tried to use it to proofread a word doc and got prompted to purchase a license. So they basically just filled 1/3 of my screen with an ad.
My city of only 20k people in Texas has a similar app. Not sure what’s going on in California
It certainly does have an Adult Swim/Sealab vibe to it
“I can’t wait for them to reboot The Fantastic Four again” said nobody ever
Texas allows underage people to drink if they are with their parent, guardian or spouse (if the spouse is 21). However, the establishment can still refuse to serve them. And in fact most places will refuse because the risks are just too high.
That would be amazing. Sadly I’ve looked into immigration for Australia and New Zealand and they both have restrictions based on autism. They aren’t guaranteed disqualifier, but it is a risk, that if I found a job that was willing to sponsor me, I might not be able to go.
I make over $150,000 a year and I live pay check to pay check because my son has autism level 2, speech delays, and other motor skills deficits. He has some sort of therapy every weekday. He’s 13, so we’ve been doing this for 11 years now. And every year it is a fight to get things paid for.
This year my company switched insurance providers and the speech therapist that he has gone to for 6 years was suddenly out of network. So, I either pull him out and start over somewhere new or do what I did and pay $200 out of pocket every week. Which does not go towards our $13,000 deductible. Next year we’re switching again so I’m sure there will be something they won’t cover.
I make too much money to get anything from the state, which seeing how I live in Texas, I’m not really sure I’d want their services. Come hell or high water we getting out of this state and if possible this country next year.
Just make sure to skip walking through Tall Tree, Roanoke Ridge, and Bluewater Marsh.
