It sounds like they were visiting in-laws for holidays and was reminded how bad it is out there. From my cursory reading, they aren’t living in close proximity to this, but that doesn’t mean it stops existing.

We lost power for at least a week after Helene. There were plenty of people that weren’t prepared and freaked out, but by and large, I saw people pitching together to share fuel, food, water and company. It was a tough time, but it was nice seeing the kinder side of humanity.
Lol, the random censoring because of short form algorithms bugs me too.
This is a great point that has changed how I view this. Thanks
Why did you censor that word?
The thing that this teaser has, that I needed, was seeing superman being good. When he saved the girl, I realized how much I’ve missed that from all of the Snyder movies. Superman is supposed to be an ideal. Having Clark not save his own father was as dumb as when they made Steve Rogers a Nazi in the comics. It betrays what the character means down at their core, and I don’t think we learned anything else in the exercise.
There are a lot of politically left people in Atlanta, they keep the statewide races competitive. And Atlanta drivers are a special breed.
My hot take, is that star wars pieces of media are only considered “good” if the viewer was too young to perceive the politics in the work when they first saw it. There are exceptions like rogue one/andor, but I think it mostly holds.
The line about yearning for the mines also made me laugh, but I didn’t think there was anything else funny in the trailer. I don’t understand the level of vitriol I see either, it just looks like a bad movie ¯\(ツ)/¯
This post has a very good title OP
We were gonna wait till you were older, but it’s good you know now.
That seems like a very frustrating bug, but good podcast choice!
It’s definitely in the list of games that I think are incredibly cool, but I had a terrible time in playing. My favorite part of deck games is theory crafting decks, and rogue like deck builders limit how much planning you can do. I am incredibly impressed that you beat it so many times though!
I really wish I liked inscryption more than I did. It got to the point where I was doing runs to try to get a lucky start rather than sticking with runs, just because I wanted to see the rest of the game and I don’t enjoy hurting virtual animals. I ended up watching a play through, and I would recommend that over playing it if it frustrates you in the same way.
The author is making 2 main points.
Now, does this make it a bad movie? That’s for you to decide. If all you want from a film is to be entertained with some jokes? It sounds like it’s good, but that’s not what the author is speaking to. The author is speaking to people that enjoy films that have points of view that they are expressing. If that isn’t you, that’s okay.
This is terrible. I have a love for olli olli world that is so huge. It’s such a a phenomenal, relaxing, cute game. Corporate greed harms so many people.
This makes sense, people were trying to find out how it would impact them (we both are on the same page that we would want them to do that before the election).
