To be fair I’d be more surprised by a kid playing Atari than an adult. The 2600 came out almost 50 years ago.
And there’s nothing wrong with enjoying “kids stuff”, no matter your age.

Run a laptop farm for North Korea.

outright hate speech is not generally acceptable on the platform
This has been on Steam for almost 4 years. Valve doesn’t give a fuck. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1853200/TYRONE_vs_COPS/

People defending this decision or blaming the individual mod is wild. Gabe is famously libertarian and known to encourage moderation (or rather lack thereof) in line with his libertarian worldview on Steam. This is unfortunately very much on brand for the platform and Gabe himself.
We had the richest man on earth throwing hitler salutes at the US presidential inauguration. I think it’s entirely possible that the swastika will be acceptable again within the next two generations. But it will be for the wrong reasons…
I don’t get that vibe from Berm Peak. If he’s rich I can understand that he’d ride expensive bikes himself, but he seems to often make a point that more reasonably priced or old/used bikes can be just as fun, which I think is great when the marketing around bikes seems to try to push people to always want the newest high end stuff.
He got weegee’d

I checked the logs and it said it was assuming a remote connection because there was an unknown hostname in the headers (I forget the exact wording). It was because the hostname I was using didn’t match the hostname configured in the server’s OS (one I set up on my local DNS server).

I don’t think simply forwarding the port actually works with free Plex anymore. I think if the server has a different public IP from the client it asks you to pay, even if you’re connecting to the server over LAN.
Edit: That doesn’t appear to be true. I’m not entirely sure how Plex is checking whether you’re trying to stream remotely. In my case at least it works if I connect to my server using the LAN IP, but not if I use DNS (even though it resolves to the same IP). Maybe I’m missing something to allow it to work using the hostname.

Working “watched” labels on the Apple TV client would be nice. Not having those is a deal breaker for me considering 99% of my use case is streaming media to my Apple TV over LAN.
I have Jellyfin running along side Plex in case I want to do remote streaming, but I never use it and generally just copy the files for what I want to watch to my laptop if I’m going to be watching something away from home. Or I can just VPN in to my home network.
I have the most important numbers stored in a note on my smartwatch (and my bike’s head unit) so I can still call people in an emergency even if my phone is dead. I should probably put them on a note in my wallet too.

A well fitting road bike saddle is designed to have you sitting on your seat bones, rather than your soft tissue, often with a cutout in the middle to relieve pressure from the genital area. This is much more comfortable on long rides. The padding is minimal, since you are expected to wear padded shorts to minimise friction. Some people also use chamois cream to further reduce chafing, although I personally don’t find this to be all that necessary and only really use it on longer rides, if at all. This setup is much more comfortable if you’re going to spend long hours in the saddle, especially if you do it regularly and your butt is used to it.
Like with most bike parts, saddles come in all different shapes and sizes and different types make sense for different types of riding.

The reason for not wearing underwear is that it can cause chafing or pressure points where it shifts or creases. Cycling shorts are designed to minimise that by not doing either. There is nothing nasty about cycling shorts if you wash them after each ride. If anything they handle sweat better than cotton underwear would.
That being said, if you feel better wearing underwear, then you should feel free to do so. But there are practical reasons why most people don’t and they don’t have anything to do with trying to be a “real cyclist”.
I have a name that is uncommon where I live, so a lot of people don’t know how to pronounce it or spell it. And if they do, they will spell it wrong anyway, because I have an uncommon spelling. It’s also a relatively long name, so spelling it out letter for letter is quite annoying and error prone.
I’m used to it though, so I don’t really care. From my experience I would say you are overthinking things. A “lifetime of correcting people” is not really a big deal and it’s worth it to have a cool name.
I straight up don’t want to do it, even for my friends. But since they are my friends I would do it anyway. I’d definitely rather they paid for movers though.
I paid for movers my last two moves. It was expensive, but if you can afford it, it’s totally worth it in my opinion. Instead of the move taking a whole weekend it was done in half a day both times.
And it’s true: nobody wants to help with that shit. My friends offered, but the relief on their faces when I told them there was no need, was clearly visible.

lmao, I did DXM a couple of times, but only one proper big dose. I took 35 gelcaps of the stuff like an absolute degenerate (a solid 3rd plateau dose for someone my weight). 3 hours or so absolutely nothing happened and then I guess the caps dissolved and it hit me like a freight train. I spent the rest of the night robowalking between the couch and the bathroom to throw up the remains of the gelcaps, but since my short term memory was non-existent I only remember doing it once (I had a trip sitter who told me what happened the next day). It was at the same time one of the most intense, stupid and pointless experiences I’ve had on drugs, and considering I’ve done tons of acid, shrooms and DMT, that’s really saying something.
Also did salvia one time and while it wasn’t a bad experience per se, I think it’s the only time I did a drug and thought “one time is enough for me”.

Same. It’s the only way to actually quit stuff for me. I’m all or nothing and don’t do moderation.

Personally I don’t forward ports for anything that only I am supposed to access (such as SSH). Instead I connect to my home network via VPN and establish the connection from the inside. I just have an allow all from the VPN subnet to my main one, but you could also allow things selectively if you don’t want everything accessible via VPN. Using the VPN has the added bonus of ensuring everything is going through a secure tunnel if I’m connecting from a public network.
You need to go at it with the right attitude and be okay with rejection and FOMO (the main business model of dating apps). I’d recommend meeting in person early and moving on quickly if it’s clearly not going to work out. Be nice to the people on the other end!
Stil, I don’t really like dating apps. The way they monetise preys on people’s emotions in a pretty ugly way. It’s also sad that capitalism even commodifies love/relationships. But as a person who struggles with meeting people in person I can’t deny they help. And considering I met my wife through a dating app, I can’t really argue with the results.
