I wholeheartedly agree the White House is full of morons. I was just saying that Signal is a solid app for me to securely share bullshit with my family. Its definitely not the right tool for government officials to use. But its plenty safe for sharing memes and pics of my dog.

It just about always comes down to user error. The White House trusting Signal is very indicative of the effectiveness of the app’s underlying protocols and the organization’s commitment to privacy. This is definitely huge publicity and I hope Signal endures the limelight.

I’m open to suggestions too. I stuck with Nova Launcher and disabled its network permission. I can’t seem to find anything open source that runs as quickly and enables anywhere close to the customization. I don’t see a privacy issue related to Nova selling out (now that it can’t touch the Internet).

Definitely set aside a repair fund and watch YouTube videos on how to do maintenance and common repairs on your vehicle. If its Japanese, the motor and transmission should hold on. But you’ll need brake rotors/pads, tie rods ends, struts, stabilizer links, etc. along the way. Its way cheaper if you buy your own parts and do it yourself. Good luck keeping your ol’ reliable going!

I can confirm that Chase, Ally, Venmo, and Robinhood all work on Graphene. You just need to install Google Play Services.

Install AirGuard, if you’re concerned about people stalking you. Install an icon pack and/or switch to a different homescreen app? I prefer that Graphene gives users freedom to setup their phone however they want.

Its been time. You won’t regret it. Graphene is the best Android implementation I’ve ever used.

GrapheneOS on Pixel 7 I got used for $200. I’ve been running this for a year and its the most satisfying setup I’ve ever ran. I have multiple user profiles to segregate Google Play Services, banking apps, consumption apps, and a very restricted profile for my kid to use. I can’t recommend it enough.
