I have had apple phones since the 3g. I tried android for a few years but found that everything I wanted Apple could provide.

After many years, the one and only thing they provide better than other phones is a home automation system that has the potential to not need internet. (Potential being that the home hub doesn’t NEED it) however the true result of that is not the same.

Now for the past 5 years I have been slowly incorporating Home Assistant. The true home smart system that needs no cloud.

This was the final piece for me. My contract is up, and I am looking for a new phone. I actually do when I am using my car that doesn’t have a smart system/android auto/carplay. The reason is that it will ping/vibrate my watch when I am getting close to a turn or action. That way I know something is coming up. Thats about the only time I use it.
