the last three political cartoons i’ve read have all been at least this unfunny. satire is really turning out to be unable to make things even more ridiculous than they already are

When I drop my phone, sometimes the back comes off and the battery falls out. Luckily the screen hasn’t cracked yet.

3·4 months agoYeah. It also looks like the buttons might light up on hover, but they already basically do that so that’s only a very small plus. I too remember being annoyed about not seeing content behind the shade properly.

I must be in the minority because I post so rarely that I don’t sign up when I ‘join’ the platform, I sign up when I want to post something. When I first wanted to post something, I just joined the instance it was going to be on. (Also because it’s queer, which I don’t tell you about for consistency). I also don’t care that much about not seeing what my instance has defederated. Or actually, not being able to comment on it, because I actually go on programming.dev sometimes, without having an account there. I don’t really get it. The fact that my Instance technically requires an application might actually be a UX hurdle, but otherwise, you just click Sign Up, enter email, name, and password, and that’s it, right? It could be a UX problem that you miss out on content you don’t see, but you also already see a load of content that you’re not going to miss out on. Tutorials on how x-instance moving works might be cool though, if they don’t already exist. Making them more visible might limit the defederation FOMO.

5·8 months agothats not how comedic timing works. You can’t just put that in the title. I would expect people read the title first. also I am slightly upset that cannibalism is framed as “evil” here, but you know, your opinion.

I have a little bit of a cringe-problem, so If the lyrics of a song portray some feelings I can’t imagine sharing or being worthwhile having, I can’t really listen to it.
Lyrics are also banned for background distraction music, the kind of music I listen to to block Background Noise that would be annoying me when I do homework. Listening to music like trance (my lofi beats to relax/study to replacement) moves the problem from being annoyed by noises I don’t want to hear, to slight problems having complicated thoughts I would want to vocalise out loud or in my head. So sometimes I just turn on Brown Noise (Bass-boosted White Noise), or Pink Noise where I forgot what it is, but that feels weird in the ears after 1 to 2 hours. I don’t always need to play sounds I pick, but sometimes, I really don’t want to hear other people’s noises.
