They don’t. On their website they recommend ironfox for android. Haven’t tried it yet myself though (i have hoarded over 100 tabs on my phone so it’s kind of a pain to switch browser).

Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Valve Already Upstreams Support For The New Steam Controller To SDL3English
2·1 month agoYeah i just watched the LTT video and it doesn’t actually look that bad when he’s holding it. I’ll probably be sticking to my PS5 controller since i don’t really have a good reason to buy another one. Now that i think of it, i remember initially being sceptical about the PS4 and 5 controllers as well when they came out, but i always ended up preferring the newer design. PS4 controller felt uncomfortable after using the PS5 controller, and the same thing happened going from 3 to 4.

11·1 month agoI guess with the steamdeck’s touchpads in mind this design makes sense, but damn does that thing look bulky lol. Maybe it feels more comfortable to hold than it looks.

Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Valve says they want SteamOS to be installable on any PCEnglish
993·1 month agoWhen it comes to this i personally tend to agree with what Brodie Robertson always says in his videos about SteamOS. It’s kinda silly to keep waiting for an official release when things like Bazzite exist, but if the SteamOS release helps with more people making the switch, then that’s still a good thing in the end.
I’m personally GTK gang. I only use like 1 or 2 qt apps because there’s no alternative and i don’t even bother theming them anymore.

5·2 months agoThe nice thing about gta 4 on linux is that you don’t even need to manually bother with dxvk, which people also use on windows because it improves the game’s performance.

linuxmemes@lemmy.world•Probably a good idea to go see how much storage will be necessary...
31·2 months agoYeah not gonna lie, i think i heard someone in a youtube video a while back talk about how the entirety of wikipedia takes up like 200 gigs or something like that, and it got me seriously considering to actually make that offline backup. Shit is scary when countries like the uk are basically blocking you from having easy access to knowledge.
Well i’m not saying it’s rocket science, but compared to runit/rc.local or simple autostart scripts i do think it’s easier. I converted everything from my autostart script to systemd services when i was still on NixOS, and the whole thing seemed so convoluted. With having to set services to depend on each other, and also had a lot of problems with things like nm-applet or blueman-applet not showing up in the bar at all, and couldn’t find a way to fix it.
You can always… you know… not install it?
For my basic needs it always felt more confusing then necessary. Don’t have a hate boner for it, but i prefer not to use it at this point. I’m using Void and i really like how simple runit is.
I mainly dislike it because of it spamming the loopback devices. I know you can filter those out but i don’t want to lol. Last time i heard their servers/backend or whatever was also proprietary, but i don’t know if that’s still the case. In general i don’t really understand why you would choose it over flatpak, and i’m not really a flatpak fan either :p
Oh that’s weird lol. I think if i remember correctly when i looked it up, the white light on my motherboard is actually staying on as a warning that no display is connected, which is nice and all, but it would have been great if it turned off again when a display is detected, but it just stays on forever. It’s only a very small light but it’s bright as hell, so it’s really annoying and it hits your eye eventhough the pc is off to the side lol.

Me logging in automatically but having my lockscreen autostart when my window manager starts (i just do it because it makes the login transition smoother compared to a display manager, and i’m the only person who uses my pc anyway).
