While she is a crazy economically far right politician, who wants everyone to have higher rents, no welfare, and so on, the one thing her party (through many party leader switches since her) still stands against is the populist racist far right. While all other right wing parties adopted the far-right language and started collaborating with them, her party did not, and left their previous coallition to be in opposition instead. I have probably zero respect and understanding for her and her party’s politics, except for that one point. This position also led her to be a target of a planned neo nazi assassination, because of all the hate the far right (here I mean hate the actual far right party, which all the right parties collaborates with openly had for her) has for her and her party.

Is this true? I was listening to a lecture of I think it was a linguist on apes using sign language, saying that the evidence for them actually understanding language is… not great. Well… The effecrive coupling constant changes with energy. A high energy experiment behaves differently than at lower energies. The coupling constant is above 1 for the strong force at low energies, but there is ‘asymptotic freedom’ which makes it below 1 at high energies. For EM it is always below 1. I would guess they reference a ‘bare’ value here.

The purpose of these graphs are not how they look in our universe though. Rather a common way of doing anthropic style arguments. Without measuring the value of the constants, from the graph we can know from just knowing there are stable carbon and non-relativistic atoms pretty exactly where the values of the constants must be. Similar arguments can be used to pinpoint the cosmological constant from the existance of galaxies.

There is a common argument from the right that goes “nazis were left because the socialism in national socialism means they are left”. I think you are being interpreted as arguing in this way because you said “socialism means left though” on a comment saying the nazis used that label to obscure their rightwing politics. Socialism is leftwing, but not in the the context of national socialism, that “socialism” plays the same role as the “democratic” in the democratic peoples republic of korea.

The honesty of Nazis is a peculiar thing. In Sweden, the far-right party that the government collaborates with, who were started by literal ex-SS nazis and neo-nazis, have celebrated other ex-SS nazis, have worn swaztikas and so on. They have this “sociologist” guy whose argument for this party not being nazis anymore is basically “Look at Golden Dawn and other nazi organizations, they are open about them being nazis. Nazis are honest about being nazis. That is why the Sweden Democrats cannot be nazis, because if they were, they’d be open about it”.

Someone else was explaining how to tell left from right handed. Buy why is it important? If you do math and physics, you almost certainly would use a right hand system. That means all formulas are derived with that in mind.
