Maintain critical infrastructure as long as possible: Focus on quality of life: If the timeline is inevitable, prioritize reducing suffering and maintaining dignity. This means ensuring access to medical care, food security, and emotional support for people during the collapse. Build sustainable communities: Establish smaller, more resilient communities that can function independently. Document everything: Prepare for gradual rather than sudden collapse: Most population collapses happen over decades or centuries, not overnight. Use that time to make the transition as humane as possible and to set up whatever foundation might enable recovery. That won’t help you. If anyone arrives in the US and claims not to use social media, the customs officer may see that as very suspicious and reject entry - or worse. Been there, done that: US customs officers act on their own.
